Isabel Oliart and Anne Hooper

Join us in welcoming Isabel Oliart and Anne Hooper to Celtic Hall for an evening of traditional Irish music.

Isabel Oliart is a fiddler from Boston and has been playing the violin since she was 3 years old.  Isabel is the current U.S. National Scottish Fiddle Champion of 2025 and has competed in Scottish fiddle competitions many times in the US. Isabel started taking fiddle lessons with Anne Hooper in 2009.

Anne Hooper is a free-lance classical violinist, a Scottish fiddler, and violin teacher and a two-time winner of the U.S. National Scottish Fiddle Championships.  She has performed frequently for dance events of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society. She has served as Music Director of Boston Harbor Scottish Fiddle School and of several RSCDS Boston Branch concerts. She has performed with the dance band, Tullochgorum, for many years – both in the U.S. and Scotland.
